Members of the panel are coming together from across the nation to share their expertise in the area of caregiving. The panel will be moderated by Doug Everidge, Vice Chair of the Joy’s House Board of Directors, with special comments by Joy’s House CEO & Founder, Tina McIntosh. Some of our panelists include:
Amy Goyer is an author, speaker and consultant specializing in aging and families, including caregiving, grandparenting and multi-generational issues. She has been an advocate for older adults, children and families for more than 30 years at the local, state, national and international levels and currently is AARP's national family and caregiving expert.
Doug Everidge is a strong advocate for the Alzheimer’s community, having served in various capacities in the Alzheimer’s area for over a decade. Doug worked at Eli Lilly for nearly 30 years in several strategic marketing roles in the US, Asia and Australia, and now does consulting through Everidge Strategic Consulting, as well as TrendyMinds, a local marketing agency. Doug also proudly serves on the Board at Joy’s House.
Sarah Renner has more than 20 years of experience in executive management that includes stakeholder engagement, policy development, program implementation, fiscal management, and disaster training. She is currently the Director for the Division of Aging at the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration where she leads efforts to support the Older Americans Act and access to long-term care options that enhance choice, autonomy and quality of life.
Theresa Bonner is a Family Care Manager at Joy’s House in Indianapolis, Indiana. She specializes in helping family caregivers navigate the journey of caregiving and is known for her understanding, resourcefulness and her warmth.
Jan Dougherty is a nursing expert and leader in dementia care crafting award winning innovative programs to support people living with dementia and their family caregivers across the care continuum. Jan is a noted speaker and author in the field of dementia and has received numerous state and national recognition awards for her work.
